The Cádiz Free Trade Zone is collaborating with the Incyde Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce in the organization of an individualized training program linked to the blue economy, which will be developed in streaming mode starting October 11.

The course, Program for the Creation and Consolidation of Maritime Technology-Based Companies, will last until December 31, will have 22 places and is aimed at unemployed people, registered as job seekers and who belong to vulnerable groups, such as long-term unemployed; under 30 years old or over 55 years old; people with disabilities; immigrants; ethnic minorities and marginalized communities; and other groups in vulnerable situations or disadvantaged groups.

This will be the first of the two cycles that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone and Incyde have agreed to carry out within the Operational Program for Employment, Training and Education (POEFE), which is financed by European Funds and the Gaditano Consortium.

The objective of the program is to guide businessmen and entrepreneurs in their work of both creating and consolidating a company in the maritime sector, a sector that is undergoing an important transformation towards industry 4.0 and in the midst of the boom of the blue economy, which involves all economic sectors from fishing to shipbuilding and its auxiliary industry or tourist services related to the sea.

This training cycle is closely related to the work of the Incubazul High Technology incubator, subsidized by Feder Funds, which is giving rise to ideas and projects that take advantage of the natural resources of the sea as a market niche and that could serve as a continuation to continue supporting the projects that emanate from the support and mentoring received during the course of this program.

The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, has expressed satisfaction with this initiative, which he considers “a step forward in the connection and work of the Cádiz Institution in the field of the blue economy, a sector with great growth prospects and that is directly related to the turn we are taking in our industrial model towards sustainability and respect for the environment.”

González added that “this is only the first of a series of training courses that will be developed jointly with Incyde and will serve to further strengthen our already traditional collaboration with the Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce, with whom we have ties in the development of our business incubators and, of course, in the launch and consolidation of Incubazul.

In fact, it is made up of several modules that cover all the necessary topics for the proper development and growth of a company. In this way, project management, marketing, commercialization and promotion, computer applications and finance, among other topics, will be covered.

In addition to the joint training sessions, there will be individualized support and consulting actions, mentoring and monitoring.
