The Cádiz Free Trade Zone has participated in the Talent and High Technology Incubators Day that was held today in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and which has served to give visibility to the Blue Economy and innovation ecosystem that the Cádiz Consortium is creating through its Incubazul and ZF Blue Core projects, both financed by European funds, and with the implementation of its new industry 4.0 model.

The delegate of the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, accompanied by the coordinator of Incubazul, José Manuel Fedriani, attended the conference, held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and organized by the Department of Economy, Industry, Commerce and the Self-Employed of the Government of the Canary Islands in collaboration with the Incyde Foundation, which invited the Consortium's incubator to participate in the event, a forum that has served to connect training, business and technology and promote a new model of entrepreneurship with impact. In fact, during the day, the “Emprendiendo Talento” program was presented, a plan that aims to promote entrepreneurship with an innovative approach.

12 incubators from all over Spain participated in this forum, including Incubazul, which assisted with a stand in the exhibition area. In this space, prototypes and projects from startups and students have been exhibited and real-time advice has been offered by mentors and experts, in addition to exposing the keys to the attending incubators, among which were the AbioInnova Salud of Salamanca; Bioasis/Marine-Maritime of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; Cajamar Innova of Almería; Hight Tech Auto of Vigo; 3D Fac/Logistics of Barcelona; Jaen Matrix; Malaga Metaverse; BioIncubaTech of Santiago de Compostela; and UCAM HiTech of Murcia.

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone incubator, for its part, has had a prominent presence and has been presented at the forum as an example of good practice and a benchmark acceleration program in the sector, with a hundred startups that have passed through its facilities, 41% of their companies already billing and 31% that have already registered a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

The new project that the Cadiz Free Trade Zone is developing around innovation and the Blue Economy, ZF Blue Core, a 4.0 business incubator that will serve to complement the work of Incubazul and consolidate incubated startups or other initiatives in the sector, has also aroused great interest.

The delegate of the Cádiz Consortium, Fran González, has taken advantage of his presence in Las Palmas to maintain various institutional and business contacts and has gotten to know the Gran Canaria Free Trade Zone with the help of his delegate, Gabriel Corujo. In addition, Fran González has visited the facilities that the fuel terminal of the company Oryx Iberia has in that space, as well as its laboratory.

Fran González has insisted on the importance of attending this type of meetings that "give great visibility to our Blue Economy ecosystem, innovation and entrepreneurship and make it possible for us to exchange experiences with other similar initiatives, something that provides us with great added value."

The delegate of the Free Trade Zone said he felt very satisfied because "our presence here confirms once again that our incubator is a reference as an acceleration model and our brand and the ecosystem that is being configured around our projects are known and recognized."
