The Cádiz Free Trade Zone has been present for another year at the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) in Barcelona, a representation that has been headed by the State delegate, Fran González, accompanied by part of the Consortium's commercial team.
Fran González attended the opening ceremony, the presentation of which was given by the general director of SIL, Blanca Sorigué, and the interventions of the State delegate in the Barcelona Free Trade Zone, Pere Navarro; the mayor of the city of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni; and the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Oscar Puente.
After the official opening, the authorities toured the stand area, where they greeted the exhibitors and visitors. In this edition of SIL, 650 companies participate, 35% of them international, with 176 exclusive novelties worldwide and 150 events of exhibiting companies. Regarding the professional field of the participating companies, 28% correspond to the transport sector, 21% specialize in information technologies (ICT), 20% work in intralogistics, 16% are dedicated to infrastructure, 8 % to real estate logistics and the remaining 7% to the creation of talent.
The logistics sector, a fundamental driver of the global economy, is in a moment of profound transformation. The adoption of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, Big Data and robotics is driving a rapid evolution towards more efficient, sustainable and digitalized models.
In fact, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has taken advantage of this forum to disseminate and give international visibility to the new industrial model of the Cádiz Consortium, an industry 4.0 model, innovative, technological, more sustainable and committed to the environment, with the axis center of the Blue Economy and the startup incubator Incubazul.
