Any initiative in this sector may participate, even if it is not part of the acceleration program of the Zona Franca incubator.
The main objective of the program is to accelerate the internationalization of companies in the blue biotech sector.
The Cádiz Free Zone has opened a call to attract innovative biotechnology projects linked to the Blue Economy within the framework of the IberoBio Project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and in which the Cádiz Consortium participates through Incubazul . These initiatives will become part of a program of business support services with the aim of promoting innovation, technology transfer and, mainly, the internationalization of business initiatives in the biotechnology and blue economy sectors, keys to sustainable development. and competitiveness of the business fabric.
The call is open to any initiative or startup in the blue biotech sector, even if it is not housed in the Blue Economy incubator of the Free Zone, and will run in parallel to the complete acceleration program that Incubazul is developing.
The program, which will place special emphasis on accelerating the internationalization of companies, offers a comprehensive support service that covers three fundamental areas. Firstly, advice for internationalization, aimed at the creation of global business models from the first phases of the projects. Secondly, innovation advice, helping established companies to develop specific agendas that enhance their international expansion. Finally, the program facilitates access to financing by preparing tools such as the “Investor Canvas” and connecting with potential investors.
Participating startups will also have access to the facilities of the Incubazul incubator, which offers a collaborative environment with coworking spaces, meeting rooms, and fully equipped technological laboratories. In addition, they will benefit from training workshops, personalized tutoring and networking opportunities at events of international relevance.

The main objective of the IberoBio project is to strengthen the biotech and marine ecosystem in the cross-border region of the Galicia-Northern Portugal Euroregion, extending its impact to the Iberian level. It focuses on strategic subsectors such as blue biotechnology, marine renewable energy, marine resources, coastal tourism and innovation in maritime transportation, among others.
