The II Hackathon held by the high-tech incubator of the Cádiz Free Zone, Incubazul, has culminated with the delivery of the awards among all the initiatives presented by the nine teams that have been developing projects based on themes around sustainable coastal tourism , aquaculture and environmental health, all framed in the Blue Economy.
Within the general category, the first prize went to the Skin Sea project, based on the development of cosmetics made with algae. The award entails becoming part of the Incubazul acceleration program, as well as a sustainable tourism experience in the province for two people. The second prize has been for Eco Beach, a challenge on solutions to make coastal beach bars more sustainable. This initiative will have access to the Incubazul acceleration program.
On the other hand, the award for teams from startups already housed in the incubator, has corresponded to Archangelus Navaly, a project on safety in confined spaces, which may have a pitch at Wayra, an open innovation hub of Telefónica, an entity which collaborates in the acceleration program of the Consortium incubator.
It must be remembered that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone implements a project with Incubazul that aims to be a benchmark in the Blue Economy throughout Spain and in which circumstances are conducive to attracting and promoting talent and ideas with the oceans and seas as a focus major.
