The Cádiz Consortium thus reinforces the innovative ecosystem around the Incubazul acceleration program and the incubated startups

The delegate of the Consortium, Fran González, and the heads of the Aquaculture Technology Center, Mª del Mar Agraso and Mª del Mar Barrios, have signed today a protocol for the development of new innovative initiatives

Both organizations will be coordinated through a mixed commission that will monitor the planned actions, new projects and those already underway.

The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, and the representatives of the Aquaculture Technology Center, CTAQUA, María del Mar Agraso and María del Mar Barrios, signed an action protocol this morning through which both organizations will work together to promote innovative initiatives linked to the Blue Economy.

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone thus takes another step in the work it is developing to make the province the great pole of the Blue Economy, reinforcing the ecosystem created around the acceleration program of its highly innovative incubator Incubazul, a program through which a hundred startups have already passed.

According to the signed protocol, Zona Franca and CTAQUA will participate in the identification and evaluation of new projects and initiatives that aim to contribute to the development of the Blue Economy in the province of Cádiz and to this end, a mixed monitoring commission will be created that will be in charge of coordinating and monitoring the actions.

In addition, CTAQUA will provide advice and research support to projects that are being accelerated in Incubazul while the Cádiz Free Trade Zone incubator will open its acceleration program to projects under development in the Aquaculture Technology Center, as long as they comply with the parameters established in Incubazul.

The protocol will make it possible for both organizations to contribute their knowledge and experience in the sector and will serve to promote innovative initiatives linked to the Blue Economy since CTAQUA coincides with the Free Trade Zone in promoting and promoting the development of projects, in its case in the aquaculture and seafood sector.

It is important to note that Zona Franca continues and strengthens the work started with Incubazul with the development of the ZF Blue Core project, a 4.0 business incubator, also co-financed by European Funds, which will complement the work of Incubazul by promoting innovative entrepreneurship linked to the Blue Economy.

After the signing, which took place in the facilities of the Aquaculture Center located in the commercial dock of Cádiz, Fran González was able to learn first-hand about the activity of this entity dedicated to research, innovation and development for aquaculture and seafood, touring the different departments accompanied by those responsible for CTAQUA.
