The Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, has presided over the laying of the first stone of the Incubazul Base Zone building. This blue economy incubator is set up by the Cádiz Free Trade Zone. In addition to other authorities, the councilors Carlos Paradas and Lorena Garrón attended as representatives of the Cádiz City Council, representing the mayor José María González.
The architects of Carquero Arquitectura, editors of the basic project, have given details of what the building will be. They have described Base Zone as a reference center, a model to follow in sustainable industry and a new way of doing and living the workplace. From the heart of the industrial zone of Cádiz it will be projected to the rest of the city.
The architects have described the project as broad, complex and original that will initiate the transformation of the industrial zone of Cádiz "from its heart for its future connection with the rest of the productive fabric". This building has a completely different concept from traditional industry, a sustainable industry seen from a global and integral point of view.
