Incubazul has taken part as an invited project in the main European event, which takes place in Spain, on digital transformation and innovation in the agri-food sector
In this framework, Incubazul, through its promoter Marina Claver, participated in the Forum on Blue Economy: Seas and Oceans, space dedicated to safeguarding the health of the seas and oceans, related to fishing and aquaculture where administrations and companies met to reflect on this important and transcendent resource for human beings and food. It was conducted by the journalist Paco Lobatón and was a platform for the visibility of companies, guilds, fishermen and all the people and projects, such as Incubazul, that work in the development of the blue economy as a necessary framework for the sustainability of the seas and oceans.
The meeting, held in Malaga, brought together national and international experts.
Why in Blue Economy?
Specifically, the High Technology Incubator of Cádiz took part in a panel/round table entitled "innovation led to the Blue Economy". Along with other speakers, Marina Claver began her speech by referring to the more than 90 years from Cadiz Free Zone, and detailed its great capacity and variety of spaces (warehouses, premises and business centers), its presence in 12 municipalities of the province as well as the more than 350 companys based in the Cadiz enclosure.
In this context, he focused on the Incubazul initiative and did so by providing figures on why it is necessary to invest in Blue Economy, since, among other data, it provides the 5% of world GDP, and only in Spain genera 23.000 million euros and 691,000 jobs.
Finally, Claver outlined the bases of the project: Incubation (with 8 active startups, others about to start and with the target on the horizon hatching to a total of 70); the training itineraries Blueway, already underway; or the Technological Lab.
Incubazul is co-financed by the European Funds ERDF within the 2014-2020 Operational Program, A way of making Europe, through the INCYDE Foundation.
