The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, and the general director of the Andalusian Technology Corporation (CTA), Elías Atienza, have signed today an action protocol by which this foundation becomes part of the ecosystem of the Blue Economy incubator Incubazul, collaborating in the acceleration program for hosted startups.
During the signing, which took place at the Headquarters of the Cádiz Consortium, Fran González and Elías Atienza were accompanied by the coordinator of Incubazul, José Manuel Fedriani, and by the director of Consultancy and International Projects of CTA, David Páez.
CTA is a multi-sector innovation cluster made up of more than 182 companies and has national and international activity, which represents a very interesting contribution for the incubator, whose acceleration program has already passed a hundred startups with highly innovative initiatives.
The protocol signed today aims to accompany and advise entrepreneurs to make their ideas and business viable, helping to mature business initiatives in order to try to increase their chances of survival and growth.
In addition, incubated startups will be provided with information on sources of financing and investment, in addition to organizing workshops with practical training of interest for the development of the initiatives. All of this will materialize through the creation of a mixed commission made up of representatives of both parties.
The special delegate of the State, Fran González, has pointed out that “CTA's collaboration in the Incubazul acceleration program will contribute to greatly enriching the incubator's ecosystem since it involves the incorporation of an expert firm in innovation. With CTA, we have a strategic ally to help transform the enormous talent and potential we have in the incubator into a business.”
Fran González added that “the Incubazul acceleration program has demonstrated its effectiveness and has been referenced on the national scene. Proof of this is that a third of these initiatives are already billing and another third already have a minimum viable product to develop. which represents a fundamental milestone in the life of startups. All of them have been able to verify that the Incubazul space has been productive to grow, learn and consolidate the idea.”
The general director of CTA, Elías Atienza, for his part, has highlighted the “key role that technological startups have in an agile and dynamic innovative ecosystem due to their great capacity to incorporate new disruptive technologies and for being a stimulus for innovation in their around". For this reason, he highlighted the valuable activity carried out by Incubazul and stated that CTA will make all of its experience in supporting technological startups available to the agreement.
