The closing day of the Blue Zone Forum Navalia Meeting 2025 has served to confirm the consolidation of Cádiz and the Free Zone as a Blue Economy hub with a strong, structured ecosystem with great added value, international presence to facilitate access to foreign markets.
For three days and for the third consecutive year, Cádiz has once again been the epicenter of the sector, bringing together in the city almost a hundred national and international experts, 3 great speakers, companies, authorities and more than a thousand participants.
The event has been a success with the participation of companies, administrations and the international community, with a program that has offered a wide range of topics, from the relevance of marine renewable energies to the strategy of change and adaptation to the Blue Economy with the business and
naval industry that has had this year with the presence of Navalia.
In this way, it has become clear that the province of Cádiz has taken giant steps to consolidate itself as the great hub of the Blue Economy with the ecosystem created by the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz around its new industry 4.0 model and its Blue Economy, Incubazul and ZF Blue Core projects.
The day began with the live broadcast of the Hoy por Hoy program by Angels Barceló on Cadena Ser, which interviewed the State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Fran González, the Incubazul startup Marisma Biomed and one of the leading companies installed in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Petaca Chico.
Special interest has aroused the Blue Women Forum, which included, among other spaces, a presentation by Amaia Rodríguez, CEO of Gravity Wave, a company dedicated to cleaning plastic from the sea and fishing nets to end plastic pollution in the oceans.
The last day of the Blue Economy event has been completed with the meeting of the Navalia executive committee and the Andalucía Trade: Invest in Andalucía day. Another of the tables was dedicated to the military naval industry, which had a large international presence with Jeffrey Marder, Canadian ambassador to Spain; and Luis Fernando Márquez, president of Cotecmar (Colombia); in addition to Manuel Vila, president of the Defense Industry cluster and Marta Cobos, Bulhost and Compitte expert, all of them moderated by Nicolás Lapique, admiral director of engineering and naval construction of the Navy.
