The incubator of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz opens from now on a permanent call to attract projects
Twenty new projects have registered to join the Blue Economy technology incubator, Incubazul, through its fourth call and thus enter the comprehensive acceleration program, opened by the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, with the support of Telefónica and its platform Open Future.
These new projects opt to form part of the ecosystem of the technological incubator of the Zona Base project and to which a total of 46 entrepreneurial initiatives have already accessed, in the three previous periods, with very different profiles, but all related to the blue economy and high technology.
It should be noted that in this call many projects use technology as the basis of their solutions: IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data or Machine Learning. Other Blue Economy initiatives focused on aquaculture, blue tourism, marine technology or renewable energy are also eligible for the incubator.
The new entry window entails a pre-selection of projects in accordance with the bases of the call, which covers everything that makes the oceans and their sustainability a habitat in which to implement projects that result in economic and social development.
Selection process
Of all the applications submitted, a pre-selection has been made in accordance with the rules of the call and those that have passed the first screening have to defend their project before an Evaluation Committee, made up of experts in entrepreneurship and the Blue Economy. In this edition, it is made up of, among others, representatives of the Cádiz Free Zone, Telefónica, Navantia, AJE Cádiz, Andalucía Emprende and CADE.
Those that are selected in this process will be proposed to be part of the initiative. This decision of the evaluation team will be subsequently validated by the Executive Committee of the Cádiz Free Zone Consortium and thus the new innovative projects within the framework of the Blue Economy will become part of the acceleration process of the fourth period (Bacht) of the Cádiz incubator.
Next, the Incubazul technical team, as well as the mentors and advisors that make up the ecosystem of the Cádiz Free Zone incubator, will carry out a complete training plan and personalized work with the incubated projects to boost the business. Thus, legal, marketing, branding, communication, presentation of the idea, internationalization, search for financing channels to guarantee the viability of the startup, access to own or third-party research infrastructures or contribution of services that facilitate the day to day are offered. day of the emerging company, together with networking sessions, and conferences aimed at establishing contacts between the different interest groups associated with them.
